Operationally reliable level control without complications
Our level meters are specially designed for measuring liquid and sludge levels in closed sewage tanks, water wells, fuel tanks, and similar applications. They are also suitable for measuring water depth in waterways.
The meters are very easy to install and require no electrical installation. The level meters are powered by AA batteries, and an optional solar panel can be added if desired. This option is a popular solution, for example, on archipelago islands.
It is a reliable level meter that measures the instantaneous liquid level in millimeters. The meters can easily be installed on existing tanks, and if necessary, the meter can be placed at a longer distance from the measuring point. In such cases, the air tube is simply installed inside a protective conduit, such as a PVC conduit pipe.
All meters are delivered complete with 10 meters of air tubing. Mounting accessories such as a freestanding mounting pole, ground bracket, longer air tubing, protective cover, solar panel, and more are available as optional accessories.
How it works
Air is supplied to the bottom of the tank via an air hose, generating a counterpressure corresponding to the liquid level in the tank.
The resulting air pressure, equal to the hydrostatic pressure of the water or sludge, is measured in millimeters of water column (mm WC). For example, if the liquid level in the tank is 500 mm (0.5 m), the meter indicates 500 mm.
The meter is automatically purged with air at each measurement, minimizing the risk of clogging. Our level meters are completely maintenance-free.
Different types of level gauge
The level meters are available in several different versions.
There are both manual meters, where the measurement is carried out using a manual or battery-powered air pump, and automatic (digital) meters, where the measurement is performed via a programmed circuit board.
The digital meters are connected to a server system with login access to a landing page called Septikcon. You can access it at www.septikcon.se.
SPS SmartControl will be launched shortly and will replace the Septikcon landing page. If you are currently using Septikcon, you can easily upgrade to SPS SmartControl.
The level meter is easy to install. It can be mounted on the tank neck, on a pole, or on a building façade.
Lower the air tube with the attached weight to the bottom of the tank so that the weight rests on the bottom. Mount the meter using the supplied screw. Route the tube to the level meter, cut it to the correct length, and connect the air tube to the quick connector on the meter.
If the meter is not installed directly next to the tank, the tube should be installed inside a protective conduit, for example a PVC conduit pipe. The tube must not be installed in the tank’s emptying pipe.
Connection is established via SIM card or Wi-Fi.
